The Rathaus Pharmacy at Marienplatz is located in the New Town Hall in the heart of Munich. In 2001, experienced city center pharmacist Mr. Josef Grimm opened the first public pharmacy at Marienplatz in this historic building.

Since then, we have been proudly and carefully serving Munich locals and tourists from all over the world. Our team of 16 employees can assist you in more than 6 languages, ensuring personalized and expert advice. We support you with all matters related to medications and provide guidance based on the latest scientific knowledge.

As a certified training facility for general pharmacy, we take on and guide the education of young pharmacists every year.

February 2025: With the takeover of the Rathaus Pharmacy at Marienplatz, I aim to continue ensuring comprehensive healthcare services in the heart of Munich. Working at the Rathaus Pharmacy brings me great joy – thanks to my dynamic team! Whether it’s international consultations, solving complex issues, providing medications quickly, supplying doctor’s offices efficiently, or preparing customized prescriptions – we work together reliably and professionally. And you as a customer will feel that.

Ongoing training and education are essential parts of our work – and not without reason my motto is: “Don’t google, ask your pharmacist“.

How to Find Us

Our pharmacy is located directly at Munich’s Marienplatz. You can reach us easily on foot, by bicycle, or using all public transportation: S-Bahn and U-Bahn, Marienplatz stop, exit Dienerstraße.

Tram lines 19 and 18 are also nearby (5-minute walk): Theatinerstraße stop.
